TheappusestheASTMtables/formulastocalculateweightsandvolumesbasedonentereddensity15,density20,relativedensityorAPI,observedvolume,pressureandtemperature,andcalculatesthefollowing:

-Volumecorrectionfactor(tonumberofdecimalsofyourownchoiceorassetbytableVersion)

-Metrictons(vacuum)

-Metrictons(air)

-GSV(M3@15)

-BBLS(@60)

-Longtons

-Gallons

OilCalcscontainsbothASTM1980andASTM2004tables(includingupdates2007and2009)aswellastheASTM1952versionofLPGTable54,anduserscanselectwhichtabletouseinthesettingsscreen.UserscanalsoselectwhethertheywanttocalculateusingSIMetricunitsorImperialunits.

PrecisionforVCF,GSV,MTons,LTonsandBblscanbechangedusingthesettingsscreen.Settingsaresavedintheappsothatwhenyouusetheappnexttimeitwillcalculatewithyourchosensettings.

Densitiescanbeenteredinthefollowingformatswhichareautomaticallyrecognized:

Theappcancalculateforcrudeoil,blackandwhiteproducts,lubricationoilsandspecialapplications,andinputcanbechangedbetweendensityinvacuumat15and20degC/API/relativedensity/observed,anddegreesCelsius/Fahrenheitbytouchingtheapplicablebuttons.

TheuserhasthechoicetocalculateusingasinputobservedM3/M3at15/observedBarrels/Barrels60/Metrictonsair/vac/Ltons/Gallons.

TheusercanalsocalculateweightsofLPG/NGL,usingeitherdensity@15C,relativedensity@60F,observeddensityordensity@20C.

AsidefromtheconversionscreenwithconversionsbetweenAPI,observeddensity,density15,density20andrelativedensity,thereisalsoascreenwithconversionsusedinLPG/NGL.

Forproducts,lubeoilsandcrudetherearetwotoolsforcalculatingfinaldensitywhenblendingtwocomponents:onetoolthatcalculatestheblendafterloadingthe2ndcomponent,andanothertoolthatletstheuserchoosethetwocomponentsandadviseswhichcomponenttoloadfirst,basedondensity15CorAPI60Fandactualtemperatureofthecomponents.Bothtoolsalsocalculatevolumeshrinkageduetoblending.

Autilityhasbeenincludedthatenablestheusertoexportdatafromthecalculatorscreendirectlyintoadatabaseforfuturereference.Thesameutilitycanbeusedtoenterdatamanuallyandeditpreviouslyentereddata.
